'Band baaja baarat' is the story of two ordinary characters from Delhi Bittoo(Ranveer) and Shruti(Anushka). Bittoo Sharma, a Delhi University graduate who'll do anything to avoid returning to his village Saharanpur, where a life of sugarcane farming awaits him. He offers to become partners with his friend Shruti Kakkar, a Janakpuri resident and cool girl who wants to set up a wedding planning business.
The first half of the movie is immensely enjoyable as Bittoo and Shruti establish their company and their reputation by working hard to organize the best weddings they can.
The second half looses its grip lill bit where Shruti and Bittoo gets apart and again come back.
Still 'Band baaja baarat' works because of its cast, characters and real locations.
Both actors have performed their parts outstandingly. Bittoo's strong accent during the whole movie and Shruti's charming and bold nature makes the movie more realistic. Both actors share a comfortable chemistry that make this film an easy watch.
Dialouges are completely written in the ordinary language which gives the boost to the story. Music is so so and could have been much better.
I am going with 3 out of 5 for director Maneesh Sharma's 'Band Baaja Baaraat'. The movie is beautifully written and I am sure you will love it, GO for it. "Shaadi Mubarak" !!

ReplyDeletebhai wah!! maza aa gaya movie dekhke... dono ka accent ekdum apni dilli wala hai.. "kariyo" jaiyo" :P maza aa gaya .. kamaal ki acting ki hai dono ne.. and anushka ka outfit is simple but very nice.. i loved that.. :) songs are good as well... ainve ainve.. adha ishq.. mitra.. dum dum...
